My wife, Leah, my two teenagers, Joseph and Isabel, and I have been living in New Zealand since June 2005. I practice in a rural clinic in Otaki, a town of 6,000 people 90 minutes from the capital city.  Otaki is special for being the site of the university founded by and upon the cultural model of the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand.
“Please inform family practitioners that in the middle of 2011, I will return to the U.S. and would consider a job trade with someone who might want to work in New Zealand for a year. I would be pleased to receive communications from the Southwestern community. My e-mail is JCLane@alumni.rice.edu.”
