Sequencing

Our facility is equipped with two Illumina Hiseq 2500 v3 Sequencing Systems.

The HiSeq offers two run modes:  High Output (Regular) and Rapid 

High Output Run Mode 

  • 8 lanes that must all use the same run length
  • Best to use when more throughput is needed
  • Less expensive per Gb

Rapid Run Mode

  • 2 lanes that must all use the same run length
  • Best to use when speed is more important than throughput
  • More expensive per Gb
