Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Research

Second-year fellows spend at least one day a week for 12 months working with faculty on a current research project in an area or project that fits with your own research interests. You will work in established clinical trials under the leadership of Drs. Graham Emslie and Beth Kennard and receive extensive training in research protocols and the standardized evaluation forms, and see patients while working closely with additional research staff and coordinators.

You will create your own research project in collaboration with your research mentor. In the spring, you will present your project to the education committee and the research faculty. You may opt to present your findings at national and state meetings, and publish articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Friday mornings are reserved for research update meetings where you can present difficult cases, ask questions of experienced researchers, and work towards formulating your own research ideas.
