Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Research

Second year fellows spend at least one day per week for twelve months working with faculty on a current research project in an area or project that fits with your own research interests. You will work in established clinical trials under the leadership of Drs. Graham Emslie and Beth Kennard and receive extensive training in research protocols, the standardized evaluation forms and see patients while working closely with additional research staff and the research coordinators.

Additionally, you will create your own research project in collaboration with your research mentor. You will then present your research projects in the spring to the education committee and the research faculty. You may even opt to present your findings at national and state meetings, and even publish articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Friday mornings are reserved for the research update meetings where you can present difficult cases, ask questions of experienced researchers, and work towards formulating your own research ideas.
