Our faculty has major commitments to education in the Medical School, the School of Health Professions, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Faculty members:
- Organize and teach in the Medical School, as well as the Human Physiology course in the School of Health Professions
- Teach in many courses offered in the basic sciences at the Graduate School
- Are active members of all eight graduate programs and several have leadership positions in the Graduate School, including Yi Liu, Ph.D., Program Chair for the Integrative Biology Program; Helen Yin, Ph.D., Program Chair for Mechanisms of Disease and Translational Science; and Kristine Kamm, Ph.D., Director of Convergence, UT Southwestern’s initiative for interprofessional education
- They are dissertation mentors for many Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. students and train postdoctoral scholars.
