How to Apply for Residency

The Neurological Surgery Residency Program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) offered by the American Association of Medical Colleges.

Letters of Recommendation - You may upload four letters to ERAS. We encourage you to ask for letters from faculty with whom you have worked closely and who will best be able to assess your clinical and/or research abilities. Letters from neurosurgeons are weighted the most heavily. If you have a neurosurgery elective scheduled, save one of your ERAS letter slots for a letter from that program. The MSPE from your medical school is not counted as one of the four letters.

All matching is through the National Residents Matching Program (NRMP).
