Q: How are rotations and fellows matched?
A: When matching fellows to rotations, we first seek to fulfill the Administrative Fellowship Program goals. Once these have been taken into account we will then look at the immediate organizational needs and the fellows’ interest and match them according to their capabilities and need for development.
Q: To whom should I address my letters of recommendation?
A: Applicants should address their three letters of recommendation to the Fellowship Selection Committee.
Q.: Why do you have multiple fellowships?
A.: We set up two fellowship programs, a University Hospital Fellowship and an Ambulatory Fellowship program. The Hospital Program will focus on inpatient operations with an ambulatory rotation. The Ambulatory program will focus on outpatient services. While the focus is different, both will expose candidates to UT Southwestern and health care operations.
