The new vaccine is monovalent and specifically targets the omicron variant KP.2 strain of SARS-CoV-2 and has also been shown to provide protection against other circulating variants.
Since the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services withdrew its COVID-19 mandate for health care workers, COVID-19 vaccination is now optional for members of our Health System.
If you have questions about the COVID-19 vaccination, please contact the COVID-19 vaccination team via Email.
