Sally sells…salads? Fresh food robot to arrive at Clements

Starting April 16, hungry crowds at UT Southwestern can meet Sally, the fresh food robot serving salad at Clements University Hospital.

The new addition to food services will create freshly made salads until 2 a.m., seven days a week. As the menu is continuously developed, salad lovers can count on more than 15 ingredients and several greens to satisfy their palates.

The original salad line in the Dining area was recently impacted by the Clements third tower expansion construction, but will return when construction is complete.

"Sally gives us the ability to offer a quality, lighter option for our guests as well as the second- and third-shift staff," said Marty White, Director of Nutritional Services. "The unit will also act as a line decompressor, as it produces one more service point in our busy café during peak hours."
