Hitting the field to conquer cancer

Imagine undergoing radiation for brain cancer at 26 weeks pregnant. That was the reality for Julie Prater. She and her now nearly 5-year-old daughter joined hundreds of people at a recent Frisco RoughRiders game to help UT Southwestern conquer cancer. The partnership between the Rough Riders and UT Southwestern’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is part of "Conquering Cancer," a new initiative to empower the DFW Metroplex to beat cancer with screening and prevention.
