Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2021 celebrates white coat ceremony

The School of Health Professions recently celebrated its white coat ceremony for students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Earning the white coat marks when D.P.T. students transition from pre-clinical study in the classroom to hands-on clinical training. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was celebrated using current campus safety precautions, with family and friends invited to watch the celebration via Zoom. The D.P.T. Class of 2021 will graduate in December. UT Southwestern’s D.P.T. is one of the top programs of its kind in the country:
- The program is ranked in the top 3 in the state of Texas.
- It’s ranked in the top 10 percent of the 260 D.P.T. programs in the country.
- 100 percent of its graduates are employed within six months after graduation.
- Its graduation rate has exceeded 95 percent in the last three years.
