ResearchMatch for Investigators
What is ResearchMatch?
ResearchMatch is a web-based recruitment tool that helps to connect willing volunteers with investigators looking for participants for research studies (not just clinical trials). UT Southwestern Medical Center investigators are able to use ResearchMatch because UT Southwestern has been awarded a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA). Volunteer registration has been active since November 2009. Currently, there are more than 20,000 volunteers nationally in ResearchMatch. Researchers’ help with promoting ResearchMatch participation to potential volunteers, who can register at ResearchMatch.org, is welcome and encouraged.
Who can use ResearchMatch?
ResearchMatch has two access levels for Researchers:
- Recruitment Access: PI must submit evidence of IRB approval. Once approved by the UT Southwestern liaison, the PI will be able to send a message to qualifying participants through ResearchMatch. PIs do not receive contact information until participants express interest in a study.
- Feasibility Access: This access allows you to view and search aggregate data within ResearchMatch but does not allow you to contact volunteers.
