Research Participant Advocate for Researchers

The CTRC Research Participant Advocate (RPA) is available to assist in protecting the safety and confidentiality of the research participants who volunteer for clinical studies. The RPA is a resource for potential research volunteers and a liaison and consultant to research teams.

The RPA can provide education and/or assistance on issues relating to human subject protection including the following:

  • Informed consent forms and processes
  • Data and safety monitoring plans and boards
  • Participant safety
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Regulatory statutes regarding human subjects
  • Adverse events
