Endowed posts -- Dr. Ronald Haller

Dr. Ronald Haller, professor of neurology and internal medicine, has been named holder of the Mary Quincy Parsons and Kelsey Louise Wright Professorship in Mitochondrial Disease Research.

Dr. Haller joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1976 and served as chief of neurology at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center until 1993 when he became director of the neuromuscular center at the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine, a joint program at UT Southwestern and Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

The center receives patient referrals nationally and internationally because of its expertise in mitochondrial and other metabolic muscle disorders.
