UT Southwestern responds to a National Tragedy: A moment that challenged the country

JFK Bust at Parkland
A sculpted bust, the eighth of 100 cast by artist Felix de Weldon and donated to Parkland by Dallas philanthropist Ralph Isenberg. The original of the work is on display at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston.

November 22,1963, remains a watershed moment in the‚Ä® history of our country. The tragic event that occurred that day was a turning point in the history of Parkland Memorial Hospital and an unforgettable experience for the UT Southwestern faculty physicians and residents who delivered emergency care while operating under the pressure of history unfolding before them.
