About the Psychiatry Clinical Research Infrastructure Program

The Psychiatry Clinical Research Infrastructure (P-CRI) Program is an integrated program of training and resources that facilitates translational and clinical research. Program faculty and staff are dedicated to developing new investigators and furthering the research of established faculty.

The P-CRI staff strives to provide a comprehensive system for clinical research faculty development and support with a special focus on providing services for junior investigators. The P-CRI also provides continuing support for established clinical research faculty.

Training

Our workshops, including mock study and grant pre-review sessions, are designed to provide insight into the grant and manuscript review process for junior faculty and advanced trainees. In the Clinical Research Engagement Workgroup (CREW), participants exchange ideas and research hypotheses. Presenters receive feedback from other workgroup members on possible research studies.

Services

The goal of the P-CRI is to provide a comprehensive system of clinical research support. Research administration is a critical component of the P-CRI program. The program assists researchers with study initiation, regulatory compliance, procurement, and the development and maintenance of research databases. The P-CRI also offers support and consultation on neurocognitive assessment administration, phenotyping, and other biomarkers. The P-CRI also provides assistance with statistical analysis and training, and with grant, IRB, and manuscript submissions. Limited services are available to senior trainees through the sponsorship of a faculty member.
