Description

The Pediatric Neurological Surgery Fellowship program provides excellent subspecialty training in pediatric neurosurgery to qualified neurosurgeons. This training encompasses all aspects of pediatric neurosurgery, including surgical treatment of disorders of cerebrospinal fluid circulation, congenital dysraphic and craniofacial malformations, brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy and movement disorders, peripheral nerve pathology, and trauma. We strive to develop leaders in the specialty who will provide compassionate care to patients in the United States and abroad.

The fellowship program is approved for one accredited pediatric neurosurgery fellowship position per year by the Accreditation Council for Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship (ACPNF). Successful participants become eligible for a diploma issued by the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. The fellowship program is linked closely to the accredited neurological surgery residency program of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
