The Microbiology Department at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking new faculty at the Assistant Professor (tenure track) level in virology. The appointee will be expected to develop a front-rank, competitive, and independent research program on a medically relevant pathogen(s).
The appointee will also contribute to the teaching of medical and graduate students. An attractive start-up package – including a competitive salary and generous laboratory space in a new building – is available to conduct research in a dynamic environment.
Candidates will also be considered for UT Southwestern’s $1.2 million Endowed Scholars Program.
- A Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree
- At least three to four years of postdoctoral experience
- An exceptional publication record
