Faculty
There are 446 faculty with primary appointments in Internal Medicine (IM). In addition, a number of faculty from other departments hold secondary appointments in Internal Medicine, pushing the total faculty to more than 500.
The primary faculty includes two members of the National Academy of Sciences, four members of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy, and four members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Secondary faculty includes two Nobel Laureates. Twenty primary faculty are members of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and nineteen are members of the Association of American Physicians.
