The Nephrology Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center conducts cutting-edge basic science and patient-oriented research. The overall goal of our research program is the acquisition of new knowledge that will advance our understanding of kidney biology and the pathogenesis and treatment of renal disease.

The Division of Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine, at UT Southwestern Medical Center is ranked in the top 50 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual report, which also named UT Southwestern the #1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth region for the second year in a row.
