General Internal Medicine

The William T. and Gay F. Solomon Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is engaged in a range of clinical, educational, research, quality and safety, and administrative programs in UT Southwestern's medical school and health system, and at our affiliated Parkland and Dallas VA hospitals. Guided by our mission to improve health and well-being through outstanding patient care, education, and research, we uphold values of excellence, integrity, accountability, teamwork, respect, compassion, service, professionalism, innovation, social justice, and work-life harmony. In every endeavor, we strive to achieve the “quadruple aim” in health care: better clinical outcomes, enhanced patient experience, more affordable care, and improved provider satisfaction.

Patient Care

Patient Care

Our physicians collaborate with healthcare providers from various disciplines to evaluate patients and deliver evidence-based care across three hospital systems and in ambulatory settings. This team-based approach to patient care promotes excellence in clinical practice within an environment rich in innovation and research.
