Lyman E. Bilhartz, M.D., Teaching Award
In May 2004 the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases mourned the untimely death of Lyman E. Bilhartz, M.D., an oustanding graduate of UT Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Bilhartz obtained his initial post-graduate training and was Chief Resident at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. In 1985 he returned to UT Southwestern for his fellowship training and then joined the faculty.
