Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Overview

The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery has one division, the Division of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, led by Division Chairman Joseph M. Forbess, M.D. Three faculty members are dedicated to this division, which performs procedures at Children’s Medical Center. Our pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons perform more than 500 cardiac surgical procedures and more than 300 open heart procedures each year.
