Veterans Education Benefits

Veterans Education Benefits are available to eligible full or part-time UT Southwestern Medical Center students or employees who are active duty or reserve military personnel, veterans, or in some cases, the child or spouse of a veteran. Residency Programs

As a veteran, you may be eligible to receive educational benefits while completing your Residency Training Programs. Since these programs must be approved by the VA before they will pay veterans completing these programs, please contact the Certifying Official at least 3-4 months prior to your start date.
