UT Southwestern celebrates construction milestone

The Nov. 30 Topping Out ceremony marked an expansion milestone for the North Campus.

On Nov. 30, UT Southwestern celebrated a key milestone in the construction of the new North Campus Outpatient Cancer Care and Brain Research Towers with the Topping Out virtual ceremony. The $328.5 million facility, which broke ground in 2019, shares a four-story footprint topped off by two distinctive five-story towers, one to house research efforts of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and the other offering additional outpatient clinical space for the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. In all, the facility will add nearly 600,000 square feet of space to the North Campus by mid-2022.
