Ready, set … grab your envelopes and reveal! More than 230 fourth-year medical students gathered on Friday, March 20, to celebrate Match Day – the date when they learn where they will head for their residencies. Family, friends, and faculty joined in the excitement, wishing the upcoming graduates well as they begin this next phase of their medical training.

On Friday, March 20, more than 230 fourth-year medical students packed the Bryan Williams, M.D. Student Center gym with their family, friends, and faculty for an unforgettable Match Day celebration. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation, cheers, and plenty of happy tears as envelopes were opened and futures revealed. The Dallas Mavericks Drumline and mascot, Champ, brought even more energy, turning the moment into a full celebration. As May graduation approaches, these newly matched students are ready to begin the next chapter of their journeys as physicians, heading to residency programs across the country with excitement, purpose, and pride.
