Chair yoga session: Stretch your body and mind

Annamma Johns leads a group of UT Southwestern care team members in chair yoga and stretching exercises.

In observance of National Yoga Awareness Month, an instructor with UT Southwestern’s Mindful Movement yoga and meditation program has designed a refreshing chair exercise session.

Annamma Johns, Clinical Pastoral Education Resident Chaplain at UT Southwestern, is certified by both the Yoga Alliance and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.

This nine-minute routine will introduce you to the benefits of yoga, including heart health, reduced depression symptoms, and relief from chronic pain. We hope it also leaves you feeling refreshed and centered.
