Senior Administrative Associate
Telecom and Network Infrastructure Services

First UTSW job: I started as a temp in the Telecommunications Department in 1990.

Best part about my job: By far, my co-workers are the best aspect of working here. I honestly consider them more like family than colleagues. We’ve built friendships, supported each other through challenges, and created countless memories.

How co-workers describe me: Friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. I try to be supportive, and because I’ve been here for so many years, people often come to me when they need guidance. I also bring a little humor and positivity to the workplace.

Best UTSW memory: One of the funniest moments still makes me laugh. We had just hired a new employee and had his desk delivered. Everything seemed perfectly normal – until we realized the overhead cabinets on the desk were locked. Key control rekeyed the cabinet. When the new AVP opened it, several vials tumbled out onto his lap. The poor guy was absolutely convinced we had staged it as an elaborate prank. I don’t think he ever believed us!

My proudest UTSW accomplishment: Being part of this amazing department and watching it grow over the years has meant so much to me. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented colleagues who help keep the University moving forward.

Hobbies: I enjoy gardening. Recently, I’ve also discovered a love for baking and trying new recipes. Of course, I’m happiest outdoors, and fishing has always been one of my favorite ways to unwind and hang out with friends.

Claim to fame: Back in the day, my mom and I were serious bowlers. One tournament turned into an unforgettable sweep: I won first place in singles, Mom and I took first in doubles, our team finished first, and I also earned the all-events title.
