Wende Davis: 30 Years
Operations Manager
Clinical Laboratory Services
First UTSW job: Medical Technologist in Hematology/Coagulation.
Best parts about my job: The people I work with and the collaborative environment of UT Southwestern are the top benefits, knowing that I am helping patients get the care and comfort they need.
How co-workers describe me: They would say I am a person who is reliable, is patient-centered, and keeps a positive attitude while smiling.
Best UTSW memory: Moving into the beautiful new William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital was my most memorable experience.
My proudest UTSW accomplishments: Creating a point-of-care team for the campus, working on the laboratory quality team to enhance processes and safety, and improving the campus referral laboratory are among projects that I am extremely proud to have been involved with.
I’m really good at: Playing the piano; music is an important and meaningful part of my life.
Hobbies: I also enjoy gardening and spending time with my family.
Surprising fact: I am the pianist for my church and a leader of Vacation Bible School every year.
Final note: I’m so grateful to be part of a patient-centered, collaborative care team that has excellent values and provides exceptional care.
