First UTSW job: I was an office clerk in Medical Service Research and Development Plan (MSRDP) finance during my senior year of high school, 1994-1995. It was part of a co-op student program. After graduating, I started working as a junior accounting clerk and continued my studies attending school at night. I have been at UT Southwestern ever since – 10 years in Finance and 20 years in Ophthalmology.

Best part about my job: I appreciate the challenge of continuously learning and adapting to new situations.

Best UTSW memory: Experiencing the eclipse at McDermott Plaza with co-workers.

My proudest UTSW accomplishment: I am proud of my 30-year career here.

Hobbies and other interests: I volunteer as a Sunday school helper. I’m also the proud mother of 10-year-old twins – a boy and a girl – and a 22-year-old daughter currently attending UT Arlington.
