My proudest UTSW accomplishments: Achieving two historic milestones: becoming the first African American female Department Chair at the institution (the Department of Physician Assistant Studies within the School of Health Professions, 2017) and also the first African American faculty member appointed as Head of Cary College (2021). Cary College is one of six Academic Colleges for UT Southwestern Medical School.


Endowed Titles

Dr. Howell-Stampley holds the Cissy and W. Plack Carr, Jr. Professorship in Medical Education and the P. Eugene Jones, Ph.D., PA-C Professorship in Physician Assistant Studies.
