Diana Tomchick, Ph.D.
Professor
Departments of Biophysics and Biochemistry
First UTSW job: I came in August 2000 to serve as the co-Director of the Structural Biology Laboratory (SBL). By forming a core lab that could provide structural biology services to any laboratory on campus, in any department, we were a unique service that was facilitated by the then-recent mapping of the human genome and the influx of research funds by the National Institutes of Health to structural genomics projects around the country. Over the years, the staff of the SBL has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and deposited almost 300 structures to the Protein Data Bank.
