First UTSW job: I started as a Patient Care Technician at St. Paul Hospital in 1993.
Best part about my job: It’s the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives every single day.
How co-workers describe me: A great team player, dependable, compassionate, and calm under pressure.
Best UTSW memory: The transition from St. Paul to William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in 2014. I felt incredibly fortunate to be a part of this historic process. Being part of such a significant milestone in the institution’s history was truly a great experience.
My proudest UTSW accomplishment: My greatest accomplishment is dedicating 30 years of my career to UT Southwestern. It’s a legacy that I am incredibly proud of, and being part of such a remarkable institution has been both fulfilling and inspiring. I am also proud of mentoring new nurses and seeing them grow into confident and capable professionals. Being able to pass on knowledge and guide others has been deeply fulfilling.
Hobbies: I love cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family.
Final note: I have been fortunate to work with an incredible team of physicians, co-workers, and supervisors.
