David Khan, M.D.

Professor
Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Division of Allergy and Immunology

First UTSW job: Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine.

Best part about my job: I have been Program Director for our Allergy and Immunology Fellowship for over 26 years. I find helping train the next generation of specialists in our field to be extremely rewarding.

How co-workers describe me: Calm and collected.

Best UTSW memory: Watching the solar eclipse from West Campus.

My proudest UTSW accomplishment: Serving as President of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) from 2022-2023.

I’m really good at: Eating ice cream.

Hobbies: Landscape photography.

Surprising facts: I love to cook, especially outdoor barbecue. I am also captain of the UTSW 5K team at the AAAAI Foundation benefit. Since the race began, our team has won the team race five times in a row!

Final note: I have enjoyed my 30 years at UTSW and have worked with amazing people who have made that time so much better.
