First UTSW job: Administrative Assistant in the Division of Cardiology.
Best part about my job: Definitely the people! All of our faculty and the Chair are wonderful. My admin team is so incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with.
How co-workers describe me: Kind and helpful. I always treat people how I want to be treated, and they know I will help them in any way I can.
Best UTSW memory: Being offered a Senior Admin Associate position in Microbiology in 1999. I found my home in basic science and will be here until I retire.
My proudest UTSW accomplishment: Being able to rise through the ranks due to hard work and becoming a Department Administrator, then successfully recruiting the best admin team I could have ever dreamed of. They are truly the heart of our Department!
I’m really good at: Cooking. I love making my own recipes.
Hobbies: Spending time with my family and our household of cats. We have five and they give us so much joy! They were all rescues or strays, and I loved saving these animals to give them the best lives possible.
