Shoup to serve as President of the American Academy of Audiology

Dr. Angela Shoup, Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, has been named President of the American Academy of Audiology for a one-year term, effective Oct. 1. She was elected President-Elect last year.

“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to serve the profession of audiology, my colleagues, and those seeking hearing and balance care during these rapidly changing times,” said Dr. Shoup, a member of the organization for 26 years.

The American Academy of Audiology is the world’s largest professional organization of audiologists. Representing the interests of approximately 14,000 audiologists nationwide, the Academy is dedicated to providing quality hearing care services through professional development, education, research, and increased public awareness of hearing and balance disorders.
