Patient Access Services leadership team achieves national certification

Six Patient Access managers were certified through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management. This achievement stamps the entire Patient Access Services leadership team as Certified Healthcare Access Associates (CHAA) or Access Managers (CHAM).

This is a huge accomplishment and a big win for University Hospitals’ Patient Access Services, said Kim Huffman, CHAM, Director of Patient Access Services. “It means we now have access to the best resources in our industry, which we are leveraging to dramatically improve the patient nonclinical experience for both hospitals, the outpatient surgery center, all lab and imaging locations, centralized diagnostic scheduling, centralized insurance services, and patient financial counseling.”
