Danchees Ingram, Associate Director in UT Southwestern’s Office of Student Financial Aid, was recently awarded the prestigious Trailblazer Award by the Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA) at its annual conference in Fort Worth.

The Trailblazer award recognizes an “up and coming leader” of the association and is selected annually by the TASFAA officers and Board of Directors. The honor is awarded to the individual who best epitomizes service to the higher education arena and students with creative energy, dedication, and commitment.

The award includes registration to the annual SWASFAA conference, where she will be recognized as Texas’ Philo Brasher Emerging Leadership Award winner, as well as registration to the NASFAA Leadership & Legislative Conference & Expo in Washington D.C., where she will study leadership and management, network with other financial aid administrators from across the country, and have an opportunity to visit Capitol Hill and interact with members of Congress.

TASFAA/SWASFAA also will provide $500 in scholarship funds to award to a student at UT Southwestern.
