State Employee Charitable Campaign kicks off with food, swag, festivities

McDermott Plaza on South Campus had a festive atmosphere for the 2018 State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) kickoff event on Oct. 2. Attendees earned SECC swag such as tumblers, hats, and canvas bags, and enjoyed free food and informational tables. Check back for more SECC coverage coming soon.

Change from attendees was collected in bright red and blue cans.

Several local nonprofits had representatives on hand to answer questions about their community work.

The best kind of food is free food: hot dogs, nachos, cookies, popcorn, and lemonade.

The SECC represents a wide variety of charities and causes – more than 500 agencies.
