Cheers, applause, and happy tears filled the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center on May 15 as the UT Southwestern Medical School Class of 2026 celebrated commencement. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of rigorous training, unwavering determination, and a deep commitment to service. Joined by family, friends, faculty, and mentors, graduates were recognized for their achievements and welcomed into the medical profession as they prepared for residency training across the country. The celebration featured an inspiring keynote address from University of Texas System Chancellor John M. Zerwas, M.D., whose remarks encouraged graduates to lead with purpose, compassion, and excellence as they embark on their new careers in medicine.
