Students of Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern recently took a field trip to UTSW’s  Simulation Center to learn more about the facility and health care careers. The Sim Center provides hands-on training to health care learners, enabling them to become skilled clinicians. On the excursion, youths learned about heart vital sounds, ultrasound technology, the Heimlich maneuver, personal protective equipment, and much more. Going forward, Biomedical Prep and the Sim Center plan to do future collaborative activities to provide immersive experiences for these budding health care providers.
