SWAT/OME Fellowship call for applications

The UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT), in partnership with the Office of Medical Education (OME), is accepting applications for the annual SWAT/OME Fellowship. This fellowship funds development activities for promising junior faculty with strong interests in medical education, and is a prime example of how SWAT stimulates innovation in education. Applications are due by close of business on Tuesday, June 15.

Forum to offer help navigating federal research regulations

UT Southwestern is co-hosting the first virtual Research Community Forum with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office for Human Research Protections on June 15-16. Called “Breaking Down Barriers: Addressing Challenging Research and Regulations,” the conference will provide in-depth explorations of complex ethical and regulatory requirements that pose a challenge to researchers and human research protection programs. Register ahead of time to add the event to your calendar and get reminders. 

PeopleSoft HCM upgrades to cause downtimes

To allow for necessary updates, PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) will be down from 6 p.m. Friday, June 11, through 6 p.m. Sunday, June 13. You will be able to access all other applications, including Taleo Talent Acquisition Management (TAM) and Oracle Cloud Goals and Performance. If you experience any issues following the downtime, contact the IR Service Desk at 214-648-7600, select option 4 for PeopleSoft, or email the Service Desk.

The latest COVID-19 numbers and forecasting model

UT Southwestern’s forecasting model shows how COVID-19 is spreading across the Dallas-Fort Worth region based on data as of June 7-9.
