Research Projects
As part of the Center for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, three projects will harness electronic medical record (EMR) data to conduct observational and interventional studies to improve care for high-risk, underserved patients and populations. The projects will engage stakeholders throughout the research, implementation, and dissemination process.
- Project 1 – Comparative effectiveness trial of different outreach interventions to increase hepatocellular cancer screening in high risk patients
- Project 2 – Improving end-of-life care among African-American patients hospitalized with advanced cancer
- Project 3 – Comparative effectiveness of different electronic-medical record (EMR)-based models predicting the risk of hospital readmission
- Other Projects
- Predicting diabetes risk using glucose data
