Regenerative medicine biologists discover a cellular structure that explains fate of stem cells
UT Southwestern Medical Center scientists collaborating with University of Michigan researchers have found a previously unidentified mechanism that helps explain why stem cells undergo self-renewing divisions but their offspring do not.
Schermerhorn Scholarship Award 2015
The recognition is named for the late Dr. John Schermerhorn, who during a long career at UT Southwestern served as Dean of the School of Health Professions – then known as the UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School – from 1971 to 1986.
Physician Assistant student wins American Academy award
Paul A. Gonzales, who is preparing to start his second year in the Physician Assistant program of the UT Southwestern School of Health Professions, has won a national award from the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Yan chosen for Burroughs Wellcome Foundation award
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund (BWF) has selected Dr. Nan Yan, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and of Microbiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, as one of its 2015 Investigators in the Pathogenesis of Infectious Diseases.
