William Edward “Bill” Romans Sr., who founded and directed Bioinstrumentation Service at UT Southwestern Medical Center for more than 30 years, died on Jan. 4. He was 91.

In Memoriam: Dr. Erwin Thal: Trauma expert, outstanding surgical educator

 

UT Southwestern Medical Center Professor of Surgery Dr. Erwin Thal, who contributed more than four decades of trauma expertise at the operating table and was known both nationally and regionally for his contributions to education, died Dec. 13.

The UT Southwestern University Hospitals & Clinics recently received Stage 7 Awards from HIMSS Analytics. The awards honor health care facilities operating in a paperless environment that represent best practices in implementing electronic health records.
