Medical School

Class of 1962: James A. Prentice, M.D. a retired anesthesiologist from Austin, has been re-elected treasurer of the Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF), the philanthropic arm of the Texas Medical Association, the nation’s largest state medical society. Dr. Prentice has served on the TMAF board since 2012. A UT Austin graduate, Dr. Prentice is a former President of the Travis County Medical Society. He also serves on the UT Austin Development Board, St. David’s Foundation Board of Trustees, UT Foundation Board, and Austin Symphony Board of Directors.  

Class of 1965: Jack W. Bonner III, M.D. received the American Psychiatric Association's 2015 Distinguished Service Award at its 168th Annual Meeting in Toronto. The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1964 “to honor an APA member, non-member, and/or organization who has contributed exceptional meritorious service to the field of psychiatry,” according to the APA.

Friday-Saturday, Sept. 25-26: Reunion for the classes of 2005, 1995, 1990, 1985, 1980, 1975, 1970, and 1965.

Friday, Oct. 9: Reunion for the Platinum Classes (1944-1964).
