Medical School

Class of 1992: Gregory N. Payne, M.D., is a Medical Director with Leading Edge Medical Associates. He leads the Emergency Department at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.

Graduate School

Class of 2006: Jonathan Schisler, Ph.D. has joined The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology.

Medical School Reunion Dates:

Thursday, Sept. 24: 50th reunion dinner for the Class of 1965.

Friday-Saturday, Sept. 25-26: Medical School Alumni Reunion for the classes of 2005, 1995, 1990, 1985, 1980, 1975, 1970, and 1965.

Fitz transitions to global initiative

Dr. J. Gregory Fitz has stepped down after nearly nine impressively successful years of overseeing UT Southwestern’s academic missions as Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, and Dean of UT Southwestern Medical School. While a national search to find a permanent successor for the position is conducted, Dr. Dwain L. Thiele has been appointed Interim Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, and Dean of UT Southwestern Medical School.
