Dr. Emre Turer

Emre grew up in Las Vegas, NV and attended UCLA receiving a B.S and M.S. in chemistry.  He continued his training as an MSTP at the University of Chicago.  During this time, Emre worked on the negative regulation of NFkB and developed an interest in inflammatory bowel disease and innate immune signaling.  After moving to Dallas and UTSW, he completed a clinical fellowship in gastroenterology and did a post-doctoral research fellowship in the laboratory of Bruce Beutler, studying mechanisms of intestinal immune homeostasis.  He enjoys college basketball and BBQ.
