Sangeetha obtained her undergraduate education at Harvard University followed by medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California at Los Angeles. She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern where she also obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation Degree. She then received her oncology training at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she remained on faculty as a Research Instructor to study the tumor immune microenvironment of high-risk cancers.
Dr. Reddy was recruited to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2019 where she is an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine and a breast medical oncologist focused on improving patient outcomes through cancer immunotherapy. For this work, she received a Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas Recruitment Award and was selected as a Disease Oriented Clinical Scholar. For her prior work in cancer immunology, she has also received an American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer Presidential Travel Award, Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Award, and Zeta Tau Alpha Houston Alumnae Association Fellowship in Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research. Outside of her research, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and 2 little girls.
