Chemical biology-based approaches for studying tissue homeostasis and regeneration.


We have taken highly validated chemicals isolated from our screening projects and others to understand the role of developmental pathways in adult tissue renewal and injury repair. With a team of collaborators, we utilize a broad range of model organisms to understand the molecular circuitry that maintains stem cell health and enable them to take action in response to traumatic and environmental tissue insults.

We apply our newfound understanding from these studies to achieve regenerative medicine goals that include improving wound healing and tissue engineering.
