Cancer Immunotherapy

Dr. Jiang’s lab research lies at the interface between innate and adaptive immunity and its implications for cancer development and treatment. In particular, the lab focuses on studying how tumor cells evade phagocytosis by professional phagocytes and what strategies are available to enhance immune detection and eradication of tumor cells by innate immune system. The lab’s recent work focuses on elucidating the link between innate and adaptive antitumor response following tumor cell phagocytosis, including the activation of toll-like receptor pathways.
